Hanging from the Edge
The Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago and CUBE Contemporary
Chamber Ensemble present “Hanging from the Edge,” a concert in honor of
CUBE’s 25th anniversary season.
@ Fulton Recital Hall at Goodspeed Hall
University of Chicago campus, 1010 East 59th Street,
Hyde Park, Chicago
3pm. Admission is free.
A reception follows the concert.
The concert will feature two new works commissioned by CUBE from composers
John Elmquist and Sarah J. Ritch. Also on the program are works by Patricia
Morehead, Elliott Carter, Howard Sandroff and Karlheinz Stockhausen. Performers
include Michael Hall, viola; Ben Sutherland, computer and percussion; Alejandro
Acierto, clarinet; Patricia Morehead oboe and English horn; Howard Sandroff,
computer; Henry Pleas, tenor; Barbara Landis, mezzo-soprano; and Philip Morehead,
piano.
